Approach

Andrea's clients are saying:

Working with Andrea is an absolute game changer — whether you’re going through cancer or simply want to master a super clean version of the ketogenic diet for your health.

She’s not only an incredibly knowledgeable and reliable oncology nutritionist who helps you prepare your body for treatment and support your healing — she’s also, in many ways, become my cancer nutrition therapist.

If you’re reading this, chances are you or someone you love is navigating cancer — and you already know how emotional and overwhelming that path can be.

Andrea has been a steady, calming presence through all of it. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve felt anxious, frustrated, and even angry at times — and she’s been there for every moment with unwavering support. No matter what I bring into our sessions, her voice is consistently calm, kind, and encouraging. She takes the extra time when it’s needed and never makes me feel like I’m just another appointment on her calendar.

Her knowledge of oncology nutrition is absolutely next level. She helps you understand how to nourish your body to reduce inflammation, support recovery, and even enhance the effectiveness of treatment. She’s also lived through cancer herself, so she gets it — not just the science, but the emotional weight of it all. She’s helped me ask better questions in appointments, think through surgery prep, and stick to a plan that’s realistic and sustainable.

Andrea has truly made a difference in my life. What she offers goes far beyond nutrition — it’s compassion, wisdom, and care at a time when you need it most. I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is worth her weight in gold, and I am endlessly grateful to have found her.

In all my years of research regarding cancer, nutrition and general health, I don't think I've run across anyone, including medical professionals, more helpful and more well connected than Andrea.  I initially contacted her regarding my mother's breast cancer diagnosis, but wound up doing a session myself and have referred her to others who have found her equally beneficial.  And beyond the online sessions, Andrea has provided information and professional contacts that have been a real lifesaver for myself and members of my family.  If you're looking to get healthy, stay healthy or recover from a health issue, Andrea should be on your "A" list of people to see.  I highly, highly recommend her!

Andrea helped me troubleshoot getting into ketosis for my brain cancer treatments. Before working with her, I tried for months without being able to get into ketosis. With her help, I was able to get my ketones up to 3.8. We worked on my food choices, my activity levels, stress and figured out some things to tweak that actually worked! Getting into ketosis prepared me to go through an intensive 6 weeks of integrative treatments that ultimately helped me shrink my brain cancer. My oncologist put me on watch and wait and said to keep doing what I’m doing. I’m thrilled!

Andrea, thank you so very much, you have been so helpful and such a blessing. My mom’s surgery went well. She did so awesome and they feel really good about the outcome of the surgery. She has had minimal pain and is recovering really well!  Truly, your expertise has been such a gift and that you would be willing to help us in this, we both are just overwhelmed with gratitude.

I came to know Andrea through a good friend a couple of years ago. My reasons at the time centered on After-Covid symptoms affecting my digestion, immune system and the abundance of severe skin rashes and irritations across my body. I never had these issues before and was considered very healthy and was living with optimized health and fitness having learned organic, paleo centered nutrition many years before.

Andrea ran tests I never knew of and helped me stabilize my digestion through nutrition and identify food groups and household items (amines & salicylates) that may cause the digestion and skin irritations. We were able to bring the symptoms down and more in control and I could live, move and have my being without itchy, burning skin irritations.

A year and a half later post-Covid, I developed cancer on my R tonsil and Andrea helped establish meal plans and tools to deal with the cancer and radiation and chemotherapy side effects.  Looking back, I realize that Covid really did mess up my immune strength which led to the cancer.

By the grace of God first, who hears our prayers, and help from Andrea navigating my nutrition and the complexities of western medicine and cancer protocols I abandoned my cancer protocol 1/3 of the way through last year and have been healed ever since.  I have had 2 PetScans and an ENT scope me thoroughly recently and there is no cancer, in my throat or anywhere else. Hallelujah!

Andrea is very attentive, knowledgeable and is a good friend through nutritional challenges and health issues, especially if you ever get cancer.

Our Approach

We take a personalized, integrative approach to supporting your body through cancer—one that looks beyond the tumor and focuses on the environment in which it develops.

Conventional cancer care is often tumor-focused, using treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies. These approaches can be essential and life-saving.

At the same time, they don’t address why the cancer was able to grow in the first place.

Our work is designed to complement your medical care by focusing on your internal terrain—the biological environment that influences how cancer develops, grows, and responds to treatment.

Why Terrain Matters

Your body is made up of interconnected systems that constantly communicate with one another.

When these systems are in balance, your body is better able to regulate, repair, and protect itself. When they are out of balance, the internal environment can become more supportive of disease.

Think of your body like a garden.

When the soil is healthy, everything thrives.
When the soil is depleted or imbalanced, unwanted growth can take hold.

Together, we assess the condition of your internal terrain to understand what may be contributing to imbalance—and how to support your body in restoring it.

A Systems-Based Root Cause Approach

Whether you are navigating a current diagnosis or focused on prevention, we look at key terrain factors that influence cancer development and progression.

Each person’s terrain is unique—even among those with the same diagnosis.

By identifying your specific imbalances, we can create a clear, personalized roadmap to support your body more effectively.

How We Support Your Terrain

Our work focuses on restoring balance across the systems that influence your health.

This includes:

  • Reducing or removing key terrain disruptors

  • Targeted, therapeutic nutrition strategies

  • Personalized supplementation

  • Nervous system support, stress regulation, and sleep optimization

  • Movement and exercise tailored to your capacity

  • Additional supportive therapies when appropriate

By addressing these areas, we aim to:

  • Support your overall health and resilience

  • Create a less favorable environment for cancer growth

  • Improve your ability to tolerate and respond to treatment

  • Enhance your quality of life

Building Your Care Team

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

A comprehensive approach to cancer care often includes a collaborative team of practitioners who support you from multiple angles.

Your team may include:

  • General practitioner

  • Oncologist

  • Surgeon

  • Naturopathic doctor with oncology training

  • Oncology nutrition specialist

  • Therapist or mental health provider

  • Spiritual or mindfulness support

Advocating For Your Care

A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and it’s important that you feel informed and empowered in your decisions.

Seeking clarity, asking questions, and understanding your options are all important parts of your care.

Here are some thoughtful questions you may consider asking your oncology team:

  • What is my exact diagnosis?

  • Is this cancer considered fast-growing or slow-growing?

  • What treatment options are available, and what outcomes have you seen?

  • What is the timeline for treatment?

  • What are the goals of this treatment (curative, supportive, etc.)?

  • What are the potential risks and side effects?

  • How will side effects be managed?

  • Can I review a full list of medications and expected side effects?

  • How will this treatment impact my overall health and quality of life?

  • What happens if I choose to delay or decline treatment?

  • Are you open to collaborating with integrative practitioners?

  • Are you comfortable working with my broader care team?

A Collaborative, Empowered Approach

You are the CEO of your health.

Our role is to help you better understand your body, support your terrain, and feel more confident navigating your options—so you can move forward in a way that feels aligned, informed, and supported.

This work is not about fighting your body—it’s about learning how to support it.
