Approach

Andrea's clients are saying:

In all my years of research regarding cancer, nutrition and general health, I don't think I've run across anyone, including medical professionals, more helpful and more well connected than Andrea.  I initially contacted her regarding my mother's breast cancer diagnosis, but wound up doing a session myself and have referred her to others who have found her equally beneficial.  And beyond the online sessions, Andrea has provided information and professional contacts that have been a real lifesaver for myself and members of my family.  If you're looking to get healthy, stay healthy or recover from a health issue, Andrea should be on your "A" list of people to see.  I highly, highly recommend her!

Andrea helped me troubleshoot getting into ketosis for my brain cancer treatments. Before working with her, I tried for months without being able to get into ketosis. With her help, I was able to get my ketones up to 3.8. We worked on my food choices, my activity levels, stress and figured out some things to tweak that actually worked! Getting into ketosis prepared me to go through an intensive 6 weeks of integrative treatments that ultimately helped me shrink my brain cancer. My oncologist put me on watch and wait and said to keep doing what I’m doing. I’m thrilled!

Andrea, thank you so very much, you have been so helpful and such a blessing. My mom’s surgery went well. She did so awesome and they feel really good about the outcome of the surgery. She has had minimal pain and is recovering really well!  Truly, your expertise has been such a gift and that you would be willing to help us in this, we both are just overwhelmed with gratitude.

I came to know Andrea through a good friend a couple of years ago. My reasons at the time centered on After-Covid symptoms affecting my digestion, immune system and the abundance of severe skin rashes and irritations across my body. I never had these issues before and was considered very healthy and was living with optimized health and fitness having learned organic, paleo centered nutrition many years before.

Andrea ran tests I never knew of and helped me stabilize my digestion through nutrition and identify food groups and household items (amines & salicylates) that may cause the digestion and skin irritations. We were able to bring the symptoms down and more in control and I could live, move and have my being without itchy, burning skin irritations.

A year and a half later post-Covid, I developed cancer on my R tonsil and Andrea helped establish meal plans and tools to deal with the cancer and radiation and chemotherapy side effects.  Looking back, I realize that Covid really did mess up my immune strength which led to the cancer.

By the grace of God first, who hears our prayers, and help from Andrea navigating my nutrition and the complexities of western medicine and cancer protocols I abandoned my cancer protocol 1/3 of the way through last year and have been healed ever since.  I have had 2 PetScans and an ENT scope me thoroughly recently and there is no cancer, in my throat or anywhere else. Hallelujah!

Andrea is very attentive, knowledgeable and is a good friend through nutritional challenges and health issues, especially if you ever get cancer.

I highly recommend working with Andrea. I have consulted with her for my health concerns and what stands out to me is the depth of her understanding of body systems, nutrition, supplements, genomics, and how all these areas apply to the unique health situation of each person. As someone on her own journey with cancer, Andrea “walks the talk” offering understanding and compassion to those with a serious diagnosis.

How we can support you:

We offer a complimentary approach to traditional cancer therapies that is quite different than mainstream conventional care. Traditional cancer treatment is tumor centric and includes treatments of the tumor such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. It does not focus on changing the terrain in which the tumor grows. In other words, it does not address the root causes of why the cancer was able to grow and proliferate in the first place. In our opinion, both must be addressed. In addition to traditional cancer care, there is great benefit to taking a very close look at all of the contributing factors that may have led to this diagnosis. In our work together, we look at cancer through a holistic, systems-based lens that examines the terrain of your body and how it might contribute to a current or future cancer diagnosis. What does this mean?

Your body is made up of systems. These systems are not isolated from other systems in the body. We will deeply explore these systems as well as your diet, environmental exposures, lifestyle and health. Think of your body as a garden. What terrain conditions do you find there? Does it have the elements needed to thrive or are there factors that are in a state of imbalance? These are the questions that we will ask about your body and your lifestyle.  Whether you have a cancer diagnosis or just simply seek to prevent cancer from occurring in the future, we will take a deep look at 10 terrain elements in your body that have been shown to contribute to cancer proliferation. If one or more of these systems of your body is out of balance, it can lead to a terrain that allows cancer to grow.

It is our goal to optimize your bio-individual status of all of these terrain systems so that we can make your terrain inhospitable to cancer.  Our exploration of these 10 categories of terrain imbalances will lead us to an understanding of the root causes for cancer. Each person, even if they possess the same type of cancer, will have different root causes. Once we identify the terrain imbalances, we will then have a roadmap of how to bring each terrain disruption and your body back into balance.

There are 5 steps we take to improve terrain. These include the elimination of terrain disruptors, nutritional strategies that improve terrain, targeted supplementation, lifestyle changes like appropriate exercise and stress reduction, and potentially additional supportive therapies to bring better balance to the terrain.

By addressing each terrain disruption, we will improve your health and remove the triggers that can lead to cancer proliferation and metastasis. This strategy will also improve the effectiveness and tolerability of traditional cancer therapies.

Assembling a Health Care Team

Confronting a serious diagnosis like cancer is a team effort. In order to have the best outcome, it is important to choose a team that will give you the least hazardous and most effective oncology treatment possible, as well as help you improve your body's terrain so that you can a) stop growing cancer, b) make your body inhospitable to cancering processes, c) improve your health and d) reduce the side effects of cancer treatments.

Often this team includes:

Questions to Ask Your Oncologist

Likely, when you received your diagnosis, you were consulting with a doctor/oncologist. It is ALWAYS helpful to get multiple perspectives when facing something as impactful as cancer treatment. Here is a list of questions to ask your oncologist during your interview (this is a job interview, you are the employer):

1.    What are my best treatment options? Have you seen this be effective in other patients?

2.    What are your expectations of and rationale for this particular treatment?

3.    What is your overall expected result for this course of treatment: A cure? Palliation (meaning improving quality of life)? Will this treatment extend the quantity and quality of my life?

4.    What are the possible risks and how will the medical team address possible adverse consequences?

5.    What will you be doing to treat my cancer stem cells, since chemotherapy, radiation and surgery do not target these and can, in fact, stimulate their proliferation?

6.    How do you plan to prevent further DNA or mitochondrial damage to my healthy cells?

7.    Are there treatments that you cannot provide? What you consider doing if you had my disease?

8.    What would my course of disease progression be if I chose to do nothing you recommend?

9.    Are you open to integrative therapies and willing to work with my integrative oncology experts?

10.    What experience and training do you have with integrative oncology, nutrition, or integrative medicine in general?

11.    Are you available and willing to communicate with my entire team and be supportive of my personal choices?
